starts the project "Women and Emerging Sectors'
Madrid, March 23, 2011. The State Secretariat for Equality and the English Chambers of Commerce have submitted the initiative "Women and Emerging Sectors', under the project 'Promotion of Self-Employment for Women in Emerging Economic Sectors', which aims to support the creation, strengthening and improving business led by women in emerging economic sectors, in which they are identifying opportunities for business.
The program is aimed at women entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurs and developers, whose goal is to combat occupational segregation that currently exists around the female gender, encouraging participation of them in emerging areas.
The empowerment of different sectors depends on the camera in each region. For example, in Aragón emerging sector is regarded as the food industry and renewable energy, the ICT sector in the Principality of Asturias, pharmaceutical, chemical and machinery for power generation in Catalonia and the thermal specialized tourism, marine, rural and monuments in Galicia.
In this regard, the Chambers of Commerce and the State Secretariat for Equality to identify new business opportunities for entrepreneurs, developed in a first phase, a study to analyze and detect emerging sectors Spain, and develop a comparison with the situation in the European Union and the policies implemented in different environments to encourage, promote and streamline your support.
To support women entrepreneurs will be held 12 training workshops on emerging sectors and develop a web platform to promote, encourage and stimulate entrepreneurship by women.
